Given the emotional impact of rhinoplasty, coupled with the anatomic intricacy and functional importance of the nose, it’s no surprise that rhinoplasty is now widely regarded as among the most difficult and enigmatic of all cosmetic surgeries. Yet despite the inherent challenges, the allure of enhanced facial beauty has propelled cosmetic nasal surgery to a new level of global popularity. Commensurate with this growth is an unprecedented surge in technical innovation and surgical efficacy. In fact, the last three decades probably account for more technical innovation than all other decades combined. As a consequence, the master nasal surgeon can now deliver favorable and longer-lasting results with greater consistency than at any other time in human history.
