QUESTION 96


A 27-year-old man presents to the emergency room after being found unconscious and unresponsive. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated by first responders and the patient was intubated, found to have opioid overdose and alcohol intoxication and admitted to the intensive care unit for further treatment. On his third day of hospitalization, the medical team consulted the inpatient dermatologist after noticing the formation of blisters on the palmar eminence and volar wrist. On examination, there were tense, fluid-filled bullae with surrounding erythema and induration on the palm and volar wrist (96).
