QUESTION 69


A 37-year-old farmer presents with a pruritic rash affecting his buttocks and gluteal fold. He states that it has been present for approximately 7 days and has not responded to over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream. He initially presented with a single plaque that grew in size with central clearing, and then developed numerous other similar-appearing plaques nearby. On examination, there are annular and polycyclic plaques with an active erythematous and scaly border on the bilateral buttocks (69a).
