Angiokeratoma circumscriptum

CASE 85

Angiokeratoma circumscriptum

QUESTION 85

A 3-year-old girl presents to the pediatric dermatology office as a referral for the evaluation of an enlarging vascular growth on her leg. The patient’s mother states that she initially thought it was a bruise but noticed that it slowly grew larger instead of regressing over time. It does not seem to bother the child. On physical examination, it was found that there is a plaque of grouped blue-purple papules on the left thigh that are confluent in some areas (85).
