Cervical Rotation Skin Flap for Reconstruction of The Cheek
R. B. STARK
EDITORIAL COMMENT
The radical undermining and elevation of the neck flap to the level just below the eye may cause significant tension on the eyelid structures. This may be averted by creating an anterior incision so that a rotation flap would rest more easily in this elevated position, or by providing more tissue by doing preliminary tissue expansion.
The cervical rotation flap, well vascularized by branches of the external carotid artery, offers a nearly ideal means of surfacing the aesthetic unit of the cheek (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
