CLINICAL FEATURES


Acne is a disorder of sebaceous follicles that are found on the head, chest and back. It is androgen dependent as sebaceous follicles convert circulating androgens to DHT, resulting in plugging of the follicles with cells, increased sebum production, overgrowth of the bacteria P. acnes
