3 Preoperative Problem List

1.

The chronic dislocation of the left foot

2.

Pseudarthrosis of medial malleolus and traumatic deformity of lateral malleolus

3.

Vascular and neurological disorders

4 Treatment Strategy

  • Osteotomy of lateral malleolus and applying hexapod software (Ortho-SUV Frame) for gradual correction estimated 18 days long (according to software calculation) to reduce the dislocation

  • Staged ankle arthrodesis using locking nail

5 Basic Principles

1.

The use of external fixation provides the ability to reduce the dislocated ankle gradually with minimal trauma.

2.

The use of computer-assisted Ortho-SUV Frame provides a precise, one-step gradual reduction of the joint.

3.

The early conversion to internal nailing provides rigid compression fixation without the need for a bulky and uncomfortable external frame.
