Inferior Rotation Flap: Caveat

Fig. 15.1
A 64-year-old smoking woman has ankylosing spondylitis. She has up size B ptotic breasts and a screen-detected 8 mm invasive cancer in her right breast. The tumour is located at 4 o’clock, 5 cm from the nipple, close to the pectoral fascia

The biopsy demonstrated an invasive adenocarcinoma.

15.2 Surgery

We performed a wire-guided oncoplastic full-thickness resection of the tumour using an inferior rotation flap. The preliminary preoperative drawings (before inserting the guide wire) are seen in Fig. 15.2. The patient received perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis.
