A 64-year-old woman has cup size D ptotic breasts with a 1.8 cm invasive cancer in her left breast. The tumour was located at 8 o’clock, 8 cm from the nipple. Preoperative drawings for full-thickness wide local excision and reconstruction with inferior rotation flap



Final histology demonstrated pT1N0 (i+) G3, ER-, PR-, HER2+ invasive medullary adenocarcinoma of the left breast resected with clear margins. In total we resected 115 g of breast tissue. The dimensions of the resected specimen were 9.5 × 7.5 × 3.0 cm. The patient received adjuvant chemotherapy and trastuzumab as well as local radiotherapy to the breast.
