Abstract

Background

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) has published a clinical practice guideline on optimizing the management of rotator cuff problems. The recommendations were summarized, with the caveat that treatment decisions be based on consideration of all circumstances presented by the patient and mutual communication between patient and physician.
