Clinical Differential Diagnosis

  • Psoriatic nail


  • Bacteria infection


  • Fungal/Yeast infection


  • Mixed fungal and bacteria infection


  • Lichen planus


  • Pachyonchia Congenita


Histopathology


The nail clipping was sectioned and measured at 0.5 × 0.2 × 0.1 cm. The Gram stains showed gram-positive cocci. The PAS stain showed branching, septated hyphae (Fig. 20.2).
