Cutaneous Larva Migrans
Diagnosis
CUTANEOUS LARVA MIGRANS. The predominantly cause of human hookworm disease is the nematode parasites Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale. The disease is acquired through skin exposure to larvae in soil contaminated by human feces. Atopic dermatitis is usually seen in the antecubital and popliteal areas. Impetigo is often on the face in children and has a distinct crusted pattern.
