The process responsible for developing abdominal contour irregularity, including soft-tissue laxity, excess adiposity, and skin redundancy, also affects the appearance of other parts of the body. Ancillary procedures, including brachioplasty, vertical thighplasty, bra-line back lift, purse-string gluteoplasty method of autologous buttocks augmentation, and mons remodeling, can all play a very important role in optimizing overall body contour as well as improving harmony following abdominoplasty. These procedures can be performed in conjunction with or following the abdominal contouring procedure.
